| The Fyrepel DRD™ enables a rescurer to drag a downed firefighter in a horizontal position. This producrt is not an escape device for vertical lifting or lowering a downed member or victim. Consult department procedures before using this device. | |

| 1. Assess victim status and route of escape. Pull on the reflective square to release the DRD Device. | 2. Engage the DRD by pulling the hand loop until fully extended. | 3. Obtain grip and drag victim from hazardous area. |

After laundering the coat, the DRD must be loaded into the garment correctly. With liner removed, place straps vertical with black horizontal stress loop positioned at the top as shown. |
Fold DRD Strap up under itself as shown above. Make certain stitched overlapped ends are between the outer shell and the vertical straps. | Insert liner through the loops of the DRD device. |

Inspect the DRD monthly for chemical attack or discoloration, thread/stitching wear, cuts, holes, unusual wear or abrasions, burn damage or discloration. If the Fyrepel Drag Rescue Device (DRD) is damaged in any way, it must be replaced. Contact Fyrepel Customer Service for support, 800-933-0115. |

| Re-insert liner sleeves into outer shell sleeves and complete fastening the liner to the outer shell. Make certain the liner is attached properly to the outer shell at the wrist areas. | ||
